The vulnerability exists in the DCTStream::decodeImage function where an integer divide by zero error occurs during image decoding. The issue manifests when processing certain malformed PDF files, leading to a floating point exception (SIGFPE) at address 0x802EBDD05. This was confirmed through Valgrind analysis which showed the crash occurring in the decodeImage() function call stack (GitHub Issue).
