GitLab Enterprise Edition (EE) versions 11.11 and later through 12.7.2 were affected by a path traversal vulnerability in the dependency proxy component. The vulnerability was discovered by @nyangawa of Chaitin Tech and was assigned CVE-2020-7966. The issue was disclosed on January 30, 2020, and was patched in GitLab versions 12.7.4, 12.6.6, and 12.5.9 (GitLab Release).
