Linux Debian vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2020-8866 is a vulnerability discovered in Horde Groupware Webmail Edition 5.2.22 that allows remote attackers to create arbitrary files on affected installations. The vulnerability was disclosed in March 2020 and requires authentication to exploit. The specific flaw exists within add.php component of the system (ZDI Advisory).

The vulnerability stems from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data in add.php, which can allow the upload of arbitrary files.
