The Image Slider by Ays - Responsive Slider and Carousel WordPress plugin before version 2.5.0 contains an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability (CVE-2021-24463). The vulnerability was discovered and publicly disclosed on June 29, 2021, and was fixed in version 2.5.0 (WPScan).

Technical details

The vulnerability exists in the getsliders() function which failed to properly validate or whitelist the 'orderby' parameter before using it in SQL statements passed to the getresults() database calls.
