CVE-2021-24704 is a SQL Injection vulnerability via Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) affecting the Orange Form WordPress plugin versions 1.0 and below. The vulnerability was discovered by Francesco Carlucci and publicly disclosed on December 29, 2021 (WPScan).

Technical details

The vulnerability exists in the processbulkaction() function located in 'admin/orange-form-email.php'. The function performs an unprepared SQL query with an unsanitized parameter ($id). While only administrators can access the page that invokes the function, the lack of CSRF protection makes it exploitable. The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS score of 8.1 (High) and is classified under OWASP Top 10 A1: Injection and CWE-89 (WPScan).

Impact

When exploited, this vulnerability could allow attackers to manipulate SQL queries and potentially delete arbitrary posts through a logged-in administrator's session (WPScan).
