CVE-2021-28622: 
NixOS vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Adobe Animate version 21.0.6 and earlier versions contain an Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability identified as CVE-2021-28622. The vulnerability was discovered by Francis Provencher {PRL} working with Trend Micro Zero Day Initiative and was publicly disclosed on August 24, 2021 (NVD, ZDI Advisory).

The vulnerability is classified as an Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) that exists within the parsing of BMP files. The issue stems from improper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write operation past the end of an allocated data structure. The vulnerability has received a CVSS v3.0 base score of 7.8 (High) with the vector string CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H (ZDI Advisory).
