CVE-2021-4401: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2021-4401 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Style Kits WordPress plugin versions 1.8.0 and below. The vulnerability was discovered by Jerome Bruandet from NinTechNet and was publicly disclosed on March 1, 2021. The affected plugin, also known as analogwp-templates, failed to implement proper CSRF protections for certain actions (WPScan).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), indicating its serious nature. The technical issue stems from the plugin's failure to protect some of its actions against CSRF attacks, which could allow an unauthenticated attacker to perform actions on behalf of authenticated users by tricking them into submitting crafted requests (WPScan, Wordfence).

The vulnerability allows attackers to perform unauthorized actions by exploiting the lack of CSRF protection. When successfully exploited, an attacker could trick authenticated users into performing unintended actions on the WordPress site without their knowledge or consent (WPScan).

The vulnerability has been fixed in Style Kits version 1.8.1. Users are strongly advised to update to this version or later to protect against potential CSRF attacks (WPScan).
