CVE-2022-1239: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The HubSpot WordPress plugin (version < 8.8.15) contains a security vulnerability identified as CVE-2022-1239. The vulnerability was discovered on April 5, 2022, and publicly disclosed on April 11, 2022. The issue affects the plugin's proxy REST endpoint functionality, which fails to properly validate proxy URLs (WPScan).

The vulnerability is classified as a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attack (CWE-918) with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 8.8 (HIGH). The technical issue stems from improper validation of the proxy URL in the proxy REST endpoint. The vulnerability affects users with edit_posts capability, which by default includes contributors and higher-level roles.
