Alist v2.1.0 and below was discovered to contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability via /i/:data/ipa.plist. The vulnerability was identified and disclosed in March 2022 (CVE Details).
The vulnerability exists in a route that was added in Alist v2.0.10: /i/:data/ipa.plist, which allows users to control the data parameter in path. The application decodes incoming data by replacing and recovering the original base64 encoded URL conflict characters, and then directly splices and outputs the parameter to the page without proper sanitization. The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 score of 6.1 MEDIUM (NVD Results).
The vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of other users' browsers through specially crafted URLs, potentially leading to theft of sensitive information or session hijacking (GitHub Issue).
Users should upgrade to a version newer than v2.1.0 to address this vulnerability (CVE Details).
