NixOS vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2022-45343 is a heap use-after-free vulnerability discovered in GPAC v2.1-DEV-rev478-g696e6f868-master. The vulnerability specifically affects the Q_IsTypeOn function located in the /gpac/src/bifs/unquantize.c file. This security issue was disclosed on November 29, 2022, and affects GPAC versions up to (excluding) 2.2.0 (NVD).

The vulnerability is classified as a heap use-after-free issue, which occurs in the Q_IsTypeOn function. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 7.8 (HIGH) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H. The vulnerability is tracked under CWE-416 (Use After Free) classification (NVD).
