CVE-2022-47613: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the QuantumCloud AI ChatBot WordPress plugin versions 4.3.0 and below. The vulnerability was identified on January 27, 2023, and was assigned CVE-2022-47613. The vulnerability stems from improper sanitization and escaping of the 'qlcdwpchatbotemailsub' settings in the plugin. This security flaw has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.8 (Medium) by NIST with a vector string of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N, while Patchstack assessed it with a slightly higher score of 5.9 (Medium). The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject harmful scripts, including redirects and advertisements, as well as other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site. The vulnerability has been patched in version 4.3.1 of the QuantumCloud AI ChatBot plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later to remediate the security issue. The fix primarily addresses the improper sanitization of the plugin's settings (Patchstack).
