CVE-2023-24395: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The vulnerability CVE-2023-24395 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting Scott Paterson Contact Form 7 Redirect & Thank You Page WordPress plugin versions 1.0.3 and below. The vulnerability was discovered by István Márton and was publicly disclosed on March 15, 2023 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has received varying CVSS scores from different sources. The National Vulnerability Database (NVD) assigned it a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 8.8 (HIGH) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H, while Patchstack rated it with a CVSS score of 5.4 (MEDIUM) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to force higher privileged users to execute unwanted actions under their current authentication. This CSRF vulnerability potentially enables attackers to perform unauthorized actions on behalf of authenticated users (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.0.4 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.0.4 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users can enable auto-update for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
