CVE-2023-28934: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the Mammothology WP Full Stripe Free WordPress plugin, affecting versions up to 1.6.1. The vulnerability was identified on March 27, 2023, and publicly disclosed on July 5, 2023. This security issue requires administrator or higher privileges to exploit (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been assigned CVE-2023-28934 and received multiple CVSS severity assessments. The National Vulnerability Database (NVD) assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.8 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. Patchstack provided a slightly higher CVSS score of 5.9 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability is classified under CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow a malicious actor with administrative privileges to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 7.0.6 of the WP Full Stripe Free plugin. Users are advised to update to version 7.0.6 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users have the option to enable auto-updates for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
