CVE-2023-32498: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Auth. (admin+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in Easy Form team Easy Form by AYS plugin versions 1.2.0 and below. The vulnerability was reported on May 1, 2023, and was published on May 9, 2023. The issue affects WordPress installations using the vulnerable plugin versions (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue, identified as CVE-2023-32498. It received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.8 (Medium) according to NVD with a vector string of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. Patchstack assigned a slightly higher CVSS score of 5.9 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. This vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website which will be executed when guests visit the site. The impact is considered low severity and requires administrator privileges to exploit (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.2.1 of the Easy Form by AYS plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.2.1 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users can enable auto-update for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
