CVE-2023-32796: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

An unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in MingoCommerce WooCommerce Product Enquiry plugin versions 2.6.0 and earlier. The vulnerability was reported on May 15, 2023, and was publicly disclosed on November 8, 2023 (Patchstack Database).

The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2023-32796 and has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.1 (Medium) by NIST with a vector string of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. Patchstack has assigned it a slightly higher CVSS score of 7.1 (High). The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack Database).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.7.0 of the WooCommerce Product Enquiry plugin. Users are advised to update to version 2.7.0 or later immediately. Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking any attacks until users can update to a fixed version (Patchstack Database).
