CVE-2023-44474: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

An unauthenticated Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the MD Jakir Hosen Tiger Forms – Drag and Drop Form Builder WordPress plugin versions 2.0.0 and earlier. The vulnerability was reported on August 30, 2023, and publicly disclosed on September 29, 2023 (Patchstack Report).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received varying CVSS scores: a 6.1 MEDIUM (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N) from NVD and a 7.1 HIGH (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L) from Patchstack. The vulnerability requires no authentication to exploit and relies on user interaction (NVD).

If successfully exploited, this vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site (Patchstack Report).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.1.0 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 2.1.0 or later immediately. Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking attacks until users can update to the fixed version (Patchstack Report).
