CVE-2023-47810: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the Asdqwe Dev Ajax Domain Checker WordPress plugin versions 1.3.0 and below. The vulnerability was reported on September 19, 2023, and publicly disclosed on November 15, 2023. This security issue was assigned CVE-2023-47810 and affects the plugin's web page generation functionality (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (Cross-site Scripting) issue. It received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.4 (Medium) from NIST with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N, while Patchstack assigned it a slightly higher CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site (Patchstack).

No official fix is currently available for this vulnerability. However, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate the issue by blocking potential attacks until an official fix becomes available.
