CVE-2024-13549: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The All Bootstrap Blocks plugin for WordPress contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability (CVE-2024-13549) discovered in January 2025. The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.3.26, specifically in the 'Accordion' widget component. This security issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping mechanisms (NVD).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.4 (Medium) by Wordfence with a vector string of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N, while NIST assigned a score of 5.4 (Medium) with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) (NVD).

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever any user accesses the compromised page, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or manipulation (NVD).

A patch has been released to address this vulnerability. Users should update their All Bootstrap Blocks plugin to a version newer than 1.3.26 to protect against this security issue (WordPress Patch).
