CVE-2024-45477: 
Java vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Apache NiFi versions 1.10.0 through 1.27.0 and 2.0.0-M1 through 2.0.0-M3 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the description field of Parameters within Parameter Context configurations. The vulnerability was discovered on August 23, 2024, confirmed the same day, and resolved on August 25, 2024. The issue was assigned CVE-2024-45477 and is being tracked as NIFI-13675, with credit given to Muhammad Hazim Bin Nor Aizi for discovering the vulnerability (OSS Security).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation). It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.6 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N.
