CVE-2024-47628: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor plugin versions up to 1.3.9.3. The vulnerability was reported on August 28, 2024, by João Pedro S Alcântara (Kinorth) and was publicly disclosed on September 30, 2024. The issue was assigned CVE-2024-47628 and affects the WordPress plugin LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (Cross-site Scripting) issue, identified as CWE-79. It received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (Medium) with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability requires Contributor or higher privileges to exploit (Patchstack).

If exploited, this vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 1.3.9.7 of the LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.3.9.7 or later to remove the vulnerability (Patchstack).
