CVE-2024-49310: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in Themesflat Addons For Elementor WordPress plugin, affecting versions through 2.2.0. The vulnerability was reported on June 30, 2024, by researcher João Pedro S Alcântara and was assigned CVE-2024-49310. The issue allows authenticated users with Contributor or higher privileges to inject malicious scripts into web pages (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.4 (Medium) from NVD with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. Patchstack assigned a slightly higher CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium) with vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L (NVD).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected pages (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.2.2 of the Themesflat Addons For Elementor plugin. Users are advised to update to version 2.2.2 or later to remove the vulnerability (Patchstack).
