CVE-2024-51903: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2024-51903 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Listings Pro WordPress plugin in versions up to and including 3.0.14. The vulnerability was discovered by SOPROBRO and publicly disclosed on November 8, 2024. This security issue affects the imFORZA WP Listings Pro plugin and allows authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to perform stored XSS attacks (Patchstack, WPScan).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 score of 6.5 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin's functionality (NVD).

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an affected page, potentially leading to unauthorized actions, data theft, or other malicious activities (WPScan).

As of the vulnerability disclosure, there is no official fix available for this security issue. Website administrators running affected versions of the WP Listings Pro plugin should consider implementing additional security controls or restricting access to contributor-level accounts until a patch is released (Patchstack).
