CVE-2024-56063: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2024-56063 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability discovered in WPDeveloper Essential Addons for Elementor plugin affecting versions through 6.0.7. The vulnerability was publicly disclosed on December 18, 2024, and was identified by security researcher João Pedro Soares de Alcântara (WPScan).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.4 (Medium). The issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, which allows authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages (NVD, Patchstack).

When exploited, this vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This could lead to various attacks including redirects, unauthorized advertisements, and other malicious HTML payloads being executed in visitors' browsers (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been patched in version 6.0.8 of the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later to remove the vulnerability (Patchstack).
