CVE-2025-23899: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The vulnerability (CVE-2025-23899) is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting BnB Select Ltd's Bookalet WordPress plugin versions up to and including 1.0.3. The vulnerability was discovered by SOPROBRO and publicly disclosed on January 16, 2025 (WPScan, Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (Medium) from Patchstack. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the Bookalet plugin. The attack vector is network-based (AV:N) with low attack complexity (AC:L), requiring low privileges (PR:L) and user interaction (UI:R) (NVD).

This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, potentially leading to unauthorized data access, session hijacking, or other malicious actions (WPScan).
