CVE-2025-24616: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The vulnerability (CVE-2025-24616) is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting UIUX Lab Uix Page Builder WordPress plugin versions through 1.7.3. The vulnerability was discovered and reported by João Pedro Soares de Alcântara on January 20, 2025 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue due to improper neutralization of input during web page generation. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (High), with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability is tracked under CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) (NVD).

This vulnerability could allow unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These malicious scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site (Patchstack).

Users are advised to update to Uix Page Builder version 1.7.5 or later, which contains the fix for this vulnerability. For users unable to update immediately, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking potential attacks (Patchstack).
