CVE-2025-26906: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the WP Delete User Accounts WordPress plugin, affecting versions through 1.2.3. The vulnerability was identified on April 11, 2025, and was assigned CVE-2025-26906. This security issue allows DOM-Based XSS attacks when a user with Contributor or higher privileges interacts with the plugin (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (CWE-79) issue. It received a CVSS v3.1 Base Score of 6.5 (MEDIUM) with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability requires user interaction and authenticated access with Contributor-level privileges or higher to exploit (NVD).

This vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.2.4 of the WP Delete User Accounts plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.2.4 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users can enable auto-update functionality for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
