CVE-2025-26918: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the WordPress plugin Small Package Quotes – Unishippers Edition, affecting versions through 2.4.9. The vulnerability was identified on February 12, 2025, and publicly disclosed on February 23, 2025 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) and has received a CVSS v3.1 score of 7.1 (High), with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability can be exploited without authentication, requiring user interaction for successful exploitation (NVD, Patchstack).

This vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.4.10 of the plugin. Users are advised to update to version 2.4.10 or later immediately. Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking attacks until users can update to the fixed version (Patchstack).
