WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in LambertGroup's SHOUT plugin affecting versions through 3.5.3. The vulnerability was discovered by Tran Nguyen Bao Khanh from VCI - VNPT Cyber Immunity and was officially published on June 3, 2025. The issue has been assigned CVE-2025-31925 with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (HIGH) (Wiz).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting').
