CVE-2025-39508: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in NasaTheme Nasa Core plugin affecting versions up to 6.3.2. The vulnerability was discovered on June 12, 2025, and publicly disclosed on June 17, 2025. This vulnerability allows for Reflected XSS attacks (Wiz, NVD).

The vulnerability has been classified as CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 7.1 (HIGH) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L, indicating network accessibility, low attack complexity, no privileges required, and user interaction required for exploitation (NVD, Wiz).

This vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website which will be executed when guests visit the site (Patchstack).

No official fix is currently available. However, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking any attacks until an official fix becomes available. It is recommended to implement the virtual patch immediately (Patchstack).
