CVE-2025-47482: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in sonalsinha21 SKT Skill Bar WordPress plugin, tracked as CVE-2025-47482. The vulnerability affects versions through 2.4 of the SKT Skill Bar plugin and was disclosed on May 7, 2025. The vulnerability requires Contributor or higher level privileges to exploit (Wiz).

If successfully exploited, this vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when visitors access the affected site (Wiz, Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 2.5 of the SKT Skill Bar plugin. Users are advised to update to version 2.5 or later to remove the vulnerability. For additional protection, Patchstack users can enable auto-update functionality for vulnerable plugins (Wiz, Patchstack).
