CVE-2025-58965: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2025-58965 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability discovered in Agency Dominion Inc.'s Fusion Page Builder: Extension – Gallery WordPress plugin. The vulnerability was initially reported by Muhammad Yudha - DJ on July 31, 2025, and was publicly disclosed on September 22, 2025. This security issue affects versions up to 1.7.6 of the Fusion Page Builder: Extension – Gallery plugin (Patchstack).

The vulnerability is classified as an Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (CWE-79) that allows for Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.5 (Medium) with the following vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L. The vulnerability requires Contributor-level privileges to exploit (Patchstack).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors to inject malicious scripts, including redirects and advertisements, as well as other HTML payloads into the website. These injected scripts would be executed when guests visit the affected site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.7.7 of the Fusion Page Builder: Extension – Gallery plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.7.7 or later to remove the vulnerability. Patchstack users have the option to enable auto-updates for vulnerable plugins (Patchstack).
