CVE-2025-7730: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The Bold Page Builder plugin for WordPress contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability (CVE-2025-7730) discovered and disclosed on October 23, 2025. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 5.4.5 of the plugin. The issue exists in the 'percentage' parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping (NVD, Rapid7).

The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 6.4 (Medium). The attack vector is network-based, requires low attack complexity, and needs low privileges (Contributor-level access or above) to exploit. The scope is changed, with low impacts to both confidentiality and integrity, but no impact on availability (NVD).

When successfully exploited, this vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever any user accesses the compromised page, potentially leading to theft of sensitive information or manipulation of page content (Wordfence).

Users should update their Bold Page Builder plugin to a version newer than 5.4.5. The vulnerability has been addressed in subsequent releases of the plugin (WordPress Plugin).
