WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The Content Views plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Grid and List widgets in versions up to and including 4.1. The vulnerability was discovered and disclosed on September 6, 2025, affecting the WordPress plugin Content Views (NVD CVE).

The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the Grid and List widgets.
