CVE-2025-9372: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The Ultimate Multi Design Video Carousel plugin for WordPress contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability (CVE-2025-9372) affecting all versions up to and including 1.4. The vulnerability was discovered by researcher Nabil Irawan and was disclosed on October 2, 2025. The affected plugin has been temporarily closed since October 1, 2025, pending a full security review (NVD, WordPress Plugin).

The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin's functionality. It has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.5 (Medium) with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation) (NVD).

The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with editor-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These malicious scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the compromised page. The impact is specifically limited to multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled (NVD).

As a temporary mitigation measure, the plugin has been closed and is no longer available for download from the WordPress plugin repository as of October 1, 2025, pending a full security review. Users are advised to disable and remove the plugin until a patched version becomes available (WordPress Plugin).
