How is Wiz licensed?
Wiz offers two different licenses in order to better meet the needs of different organizations, from those starting out their cloud journey to large enterprises mature in the cloud.
With Wiz Essential, organizations early in their cloud journey benefit from the fastest time-to-value for cloud users looking to experience the magic of Wiz out-of-the-box. It enables organizations of all sizes to rapidly understand their cloud environment and critical risks.
For more mature organizations, Wiz Advanced provides advanced capabilities including deep risk analysis, detection and response, and full customization. Licenses are based on the number of workloads in your environment, and pricing adapts to your cloud usage so your team can ship fast and securely.
What is considered a workload?
Wiz licenses are based on the number of cloud workloads in your environment across compute, data, and runtime sensor workloads. Compute workloads scanned as part of our workload scanning include virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions. Data workloads scanned as part of our Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) include databases and storage buckets. If you use our Runtime Sensor, a sensor deployed in your environment is considered a workload as well.
