SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Technical Operations Manager to own technical operations for the worldwide Sales Engineering and Principal Engineering leaders. The successful candidate will be accountable for partnering with the Technical Leadership team and the local operations teams in the field, overseeing and optimizing technical operations processes, driving efficiency, and delivering on technical and sales targets. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of technical field operations, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives independently.
The role will report into Revenue Operations but will have a dotted-line relationship and daily partnership with the WW Sales Engineering Leader and the Worldwide Principal Engineering leader.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the development and execution of technical operations strategies and initiatives to deliver on sales engineering and principal engineering objectives.
- Drive and optimize technical operations processes, including but not limited to operational cadence, pipeline management (for technical pre-sales), and resource allocation for technical teams.
- Collaborate with technical and sales leadership to define technical targets, quotas, and goals, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Analyze technical performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to technical leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with GTM Analytics teams in the creation and maintenance of technical performance metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates on performance to senior management.
- Collaborate with GTM Systems teams to continuously optimize technical tool user experience and adoption.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Sales, Finance, Enablement, Marketing, and HR, to ensure alignment and collaboration on technical operations initiatives and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across the global Sales Engineering and Principal Engineering organizations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to technical operations, and make recommendations for innovation and optimization.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in technical operations or sales operations leadership roles, with at least 7 years of experience managing operations teams supporting technical functions (e.g., Sales Engineering, Professional Services).
- Experience supporting global teams and partnering with executive leadership
- Deep understanding of technical sales processes, methodologies, and technologies, including cloud, automation, tooling, and data systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate technical teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), technical automation tools, and analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including highly technical individuals.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with teams across different regions and functions.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement independently within a technical context, while ensuring alignment with leadership priorities.

Compensation
Starting compensation will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's job-related experience, skills and geographic location. Your Talent Partner can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
This role is eligible to participate in Wiz’s equity plan and may also include incentive compensation.
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is listed below.
