Challenge
Operating across multi-cloud environments and complex infrastructure through M&A meant fragmented tools, inconsistent governance, and limited visibility across business units.
Engineering and platform teams worked in different security tools and environments, slowing innovation and complicating collaboration.
As Lendi Group accelerate towards its goal of becoming AI-native by June 2026, it needed a single, scalable platform to unify cloud security, maintain compliance, and enable innovation at speed.
Solutions
Wiz Cloud delivered a unified, multi-cloud security platform providing a single pane of glass, helping Lendi Group consolidate tooling and prioritize real risks.
Wiz Code integrated seamlessly into development workflows, enabling proactive risk detection earlier in the SDLC - supporting Lendi Group’s DevSecOps strategy.
Contextual insights and compliance dashboards empowered both technical teams and leadership with real-time clarity on cloud posture and risk exposure.

Accelerating AI at scale with Wiz
Lendi Group is Australia’s leading property and mortgages platform, with a loan book over $105B. It operates Lendi, Australia’s #1 digital mortgage brand, and the iconic Aussie franchise, with a network of 215 retail stores nationwide.
Lendi Group has attacked the clunky home loan journey with technology, service, and challenger’s imagination since day one. Today it supports Australians throughout their property journey – from finding the right property, to buying with confidence and owning on the best possible terms.
With a vision to become an AI-native organization by June 2026, Lendi Group is transforming how Australians access and manage their home loans. From digital lodgement and intelligent risk assessments to “Lendi Guardian” – Australia’s first agentic AI-powered home loan and property companion - innovation is central to every part of the business.
AI isn’t just a tool for us - it’s embedded in how we operate. AI can only thrive in a secure environment. The reason we can move fast is because we’ve built the right foundations in our security operating model.

Fixing Complexity at Scale
When Lendi and Aussie Home Loans merged, the new Group inherited a complex, multi-cloud environment across AWS (Kubernetes) and Azure, along with multiple security tools across teams.
Each security tool worked well on its own, but when combined, they created significant friction. The Group experienced fragmented visibility with overlapping alerts, siloed governance accompanied by inconsistent policies, and no unified view of risk across business units.
“Our tooling had grown organically,” Ellis explains. “We had strong solutions, but too many of them which meant our visibility was fragmented, noise was high, and it was difficult to prioritize or communicate risk effectively.”
For developers and engineers, the experience was equally challenging. Platform teams focused on AWS, others on Azure, and separate teams used various technologies and platforms, each with their own dashboards and alerts.
Developers can’t be experts in every tool, we needed to simplify, to give them one place to understand what matters most.

Security as a Growth Enabler
As Lendi Group accelerated its transformation to an AI-first business, leadership made a strategic decision: to unify and modernize its cloud security posture.
“Security is fundamental to customer trust,” says Ellis. “It’s what allows us to deliver AI-driven innovation safely and confidently.”
Devesh Maheshwari, General Manager of Technology, agreed, “As our business grew, so did the complexity of our technology landscape. We needed security to be the accelerator, not the brake pedal."
When I picture how security can work best in supporting agile innovation, it always comes down to “Why do you have brakes on a car?” Brakes make you confident to go faster knowing you can stop safely when needed. Wiz’ solution gives us that same confidence.

Unified Visibility with Wiz
Lendi Group relies on Wiz as the backbone of its cloud security strategy. Consolidating multiple tools into a single, unified platform with visibility across AWS, Azure, and the full software development lifecycle.
Wiz is more than just another security tool. It’s built for the realities of today’s cloud-driven businesses enabling security, development, and DevOps teams to collaborate in a self-service model, delivering security at the speed and scale of modern cloud development.

“Wiz is the enabler that lets engineering and business deliver at the pace we need, while maintaining confidence that effective guardrails are in place,” says Ellis. “When new features are deployed, we immediately know what’s changed and what risk it introduces.”
Wiz’s agentless, contextual approach provided:
Multi-cloud visibility across AWS and Azure environments.
Risk context tailored to each team and business unit.
Compliance dashboards for leadership visibility.
Seamless pipeline integration for security from code to runtime.
Every other tool offered a piece of the puzzle. Wiz gave us the full picture - business-specific context, team-specific insights, and the ability to move faster with confidence.

From Reactive to Proactive, Fragmented to Unified
The transformation was immediate. The Group moved from a fragmented, reactive approach to a unified, proactive security model, one that now empowers teams to innovate freely.
Integration with Jira and CI/CD pipelines means vulnerabilities are caught and fixed earlier, reducing risk and rework. “By consolidating four overlapping tools into Wiz, we’ve also achieved cost efficiency, with the annual investment offset by removing legacy solutions,” says Maheshwari.
Wiz has uncovered things we didn’t even know existed, that clarity allows us to focus on what matters, remediate faster, and communicate risk in a way everyone understands.
Simon Ellis, Head of Cyber Security and Technology Risk at Lendi Group.
For the fast-growing fintech, Wiz became the bridge between innovation and trust. “Wiz has helped us move from a fragmented, reactive posture to ensuring security is not a blocker but a business enabler,” says Maheshwari.
The cultural shift was just as important. Cyber security, technology risk, and engineering teams now collaborate with shared context and common goals, all working from a single source of truth.
“Wiz and Lendi Group have very similar value streams,” adds Maheshwari. “We both value customer obsession, innovation, and agility. Wiz fits naturally into how we think, work, and grow.”
Secure by Design, AI at Scale
As Lendi Group continues to lead Australia’s property and mortgages market with AI-driven innovation, Wiz remains central to its technology vision.
“Wiz enables innovation with confidence,” says Ellis. “It gives us the visibility and assurance that when we deploy new code or experiment with AI-driven features, security is already built in.”
Having a platform that can absorb telemetry from new business lines means we can scale at lightning speed, with full visibility and compliance from day one. Wiz lets us grow fast - and grow securely.
