This talk offers a practitioner’s look at how Perplexity approaches the problem: how we use AI agents in security operations, monitor agent activity within our environment, and connect that activity with endpoint and broader security telemetry for detection and response.

12:45 PM - 1:15 PM ET | Agents Shielding Agents: How Figma Secures Code and Systems with AI

AI agents are spreading throughout the enterprise. As adoption increases, security teams face broad challenges: more code shipping faster than humans can review it, and the sheer volume of operational security alerts. So they build agentic systems of their own, and then decide how much of the work they can safely hand over. This talk goes behind the scenes of both. On the code side, agents work from a written threat model and a precision policy, from generation through PR review to repo auditing. On the infrastructure side, the mirror image: an agent starts from a single alert and assembles its own evidence, retrieving precedent from past investigations and keeping what it has learned separate from what it was told. Both sides run the same loop: a human disputes what the agent concluded, and the correction sticks. Plus lessons learned: how an eval built from past bugs hides a precision regression, why a guardrail that lives in a prompt isn't one, and the problems we haven't solved.
