Overview

An administrative application user or application user with write access to Aruba Airwave VisualRF can obtain code execution on the AMP platform. This vulnerability affects Aruba Airwave versions from 8.0.0 up to (excluding) 8.2.10.1. The vulnerability was disclosed in February 2020 (NVD).

Technical details

The vulnerability exists due to the ability to overwrite a file on disk which is subsequently deserialized by the Java application component.
