Overview

GitLab Enterprise Edition (EE) and Community Edition (CE) versions 11.10 to 12.9 contained a vulnerability where restricted CI pipelines metrics were being leaked to unauthorized users (GitLab Release).

Technical details

The vulnerability allowed unauthorized members to view CI pipeline metrics even when the pipeline was restricted. This security issue was assigned identifier CVE-2020-10979 and was fixed in GitLab versions 12.9.1, 12.8.8, and 12.7.8 (GitLab Release).
