Overview

Ignite Realtime Openfire 4.6.0 contains a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the plugins/dbaccess/db-access.jsp sql parameter (NVD, CVE).

Technical details

The vulnerability exists in the SQL functionality of the database access plugin. An attacker can inject malicious JavaScript code via the 'sql' parameter in the db-access.jsp file. The CVSS v3.1 base score is 5.4 (Medium) with vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N (NVD).
