CVE-2021-24320: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

CVE-2021-24320 affects the Bello WordPress theme versions prior to 1.6.0. The vulnerability was discovered on March 21, 2021, and was publicly disclosed on May 16, 2021. This security issue involves an unauthenticated reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the theme's listing page functionality (WPScan).

The vulnerability stems from improper sanitization and escaping of multiple parameters in the theme's listing page. The affected parameters include listing_list_view, bt_bb_listing_field_my_lat, bt_bb_listing_field_my_lng, bt_bb_listing_field_distance_value, bt_bb_listing_field_my_lat_default, bt_bb_listing_field_keyword, bt_bb_listing_field_location_autocomplete, bt_bb_listing_field_price_range_from, and bt_bb_listing_field_price_range_to. The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS score of 6.1 (medium) and is classified under CWE-79 (WPScan).

The vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of other users' browsers who visit specially crafted URLs. This could lead to theft of sensitive information, session hijacking, or other client-side attacks against users of websites running the vulnerable version of the Bello theme (WPScan).

The vulnerability is exploitable without authentication, making it particularly dangerous. An attacker can craft malicious URLs containing JavaScript payloads that execute when users visit them. Proof of concept exploits have been publicly documented (WPScan).
