A proof of concept exists for this vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this by navigating to the Learning Management page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cluevo-lms), clicking Add Course, and inserting malicious payload in the Insert Module field (WPScan).

Mitigation and workarounds

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.8.1 of the CLUEVO LMS plugin. Users are advised to update to this version or later to mitigate the risk (WPScan).
