CVE-2022-1532: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

The vulnerability CVE-2022-1532 affects the Themify WordPress plugin versions before 1.3.8. This security flaw was discovered and publicly disclosed on May 18, 2022. The vulnerability is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue that exists in the plugin's admin page functionality (WPScan).

The vulnerability stems from improper sanitization and escaping of the page parameter in an admin page. When this parameter is output back in an attribute, it can lead to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting attack. The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS score of 6.1 (medium severity) and is classified under CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Script-Related HTML Tags in a Web Page) (WPScan).

The vulnerability allows attackers to potentially inject and execute malicious JavaScript code in the context of an admin page. This could lead to unauthorized actions being performed on behalf of the administrator or the theft of sensitive information (WPScan).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.3.8 of the Themify WordPress plugin. Users are strongly advised to update to this version or later to mitigate the security risk (WPScan).
