CVE-2022-25512: 
Python vulnerability analysis and mitigation

FreeTAKServer-UI version 1.9.8 was discovered to contain a security vulnerability where sensitive API and Websocket keys were exposed in the JavaScript source code. The vulnerability was assigned CVE-2022-25512 and was disclosed on March 10, 2022. This issue affects the web user interface component of the FreeTAKServer application (NVD, GitHub Issue).

The vulnerability involves the exposure of RestAPI and Websocket authentication tokens directly in the JavaScript source code of the web interface. These tokens are reflected back to users, making them accessible to anyone who inspects the page source. This represents a CWE-540 type weakness: Inclusion of Sensitive Information in Source Code (CWE).

The exposure of API Bearer Tokens and Websocket Tokens in the source code could allow attackers to make unauthorized requests to the server. This could potentially lead to unauthorized access and control of the system through API endpoints or websocket connections (GitHub Issue).

The sensitive tokens should not be reflected back to users in the JavaScript source code. Implementation of proper token management and secure authentication mechanisms that don't expose sensitive credentials in client-side code is recommended (CWE).
