CVE-2022-2587: 
Google Chrome vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Out of bounds write vulnerability (CVE-2022-2587) was discovered in Chrome OS Audio Server affecting Google Chrome on Chrome OS versions prior to 102.0.5005.125. The vulnerability was initially reported by Jonathan Bar Or (@yo_yo_yo_jbo) on April 28, 2022, and was subsequently patched in June 2022 (Chrome Releases).

The vulnerability is classified as a memory corruption issue in a ChromeOS component that could be triggered remotely through manipulation of audio metadata. It received a Critical CVSS score of 9.8, indicating its severe nature. The technical root cause was identified as an out-of-bounds write condition in the OS Audio Server component (Microsoft Security).

The vulnerability could potentially lead to heap corruption when exploited through crafted audio metadata.
