CVE-2022-29491: 
F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A vulnerability identified as CVE-2022-29491 affects F5 BIG-IP LTM, Advanced WAF, ASM, and APM systems. The vulnerability exists in multiple versions including 16.1.x versions prior to 16.1.2.2, 15.1.x versions prior to 15.1.5, 14.1.x versions prior to 14.1.4.6, and all versions of 13.1.x, 12.1.x, and 11.6.x. The issue occurs when a virtual server is configured with HTTP, TCP on one side (client/server), and DTLS on the other (server/client) (MITRE CVE).

When specific configuration conditions are met involving HTTP, TCP, and DTLS protocols on different sides of a virtual server, undisclosed requests can trigger the TMM process to terminate (MITRE CVE).

The vulnerability can lead to the termination of the TMM process, potentially causing service disruption on affected F5 BIG-IP systems (MITRE CVE).

F5 has released patched versions to address this vulnerability. Users should upgrade to version 16.1.2.2 or later for 16.1.x series, version 15.1.5 or later for 15.1.x series, or version 14.1.4.6 or later for 14.1.x series. Systems running versions 13.1.x, 12.1.x, and 11.6.x should be upgraded to a supported version (MITRE CVE).
