NixOS vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in ouqiang gocron through version 1.5.3. The vulnerability exists in the web/vue/src/pages/taskLog/list.vue file, where attackers can execute arbitrary code via scope.row.hostname parameter (MITRE CVE, NVD).

The vulnerability is located in the taskLog/list.vue component of the gocron application, specifically on line 91. The issue arises because the host parameter is parsed directly by the browser as HTML without proper sanitization, enabling potential XSS attacks (GitHub Issue).

This vulnerability could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the user's browser session, potentially leading to theft of sensitive information, session hijacking, or other malicious actions typical of XSS attacks (NVD).

The vulnerability can be exploited by injecting malicious code via the scope.row.hostname parameter in the task log list view. No authentication or special privileges are required to exploit this vulnerability (GitHub Issue).

Users should upgrade to a version newer than 1.5.3 if available, or implement proper input sanitization for the hostname parameter in the task log list view (GitHub Repo).
