CVE-2022-45821: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

Auth. (contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in NooTheme Noo Timetable WordPress plugin versions 2.1.3 and below. The vulnerability was reported on November 29, 2022, and was publicly disclosed on June 27, 2023 (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 5.4 (Medium) by NVD with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N. Patchstack assigned a slightly higher CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium). The vulnerability is classified as CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') (NVD).

This vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website which will be executed when guests visit the site. The vulnerability affects both confidentiality and integrity with low impact, while there are no direct availability impacts identified (Patchstack).

No official fix is currently available for this vulnerability. However, Patchstack has issued a virtual patch to mitigate this issue by blocking any attacks until an official fix becomes available.
