CVE-2023-32505: 
WordPress vulnerability analysis and mitigation

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was discovered in the Arshid Easy Hide Login WordPress plugin versions 1.0.7 and below. The vulnerability was identified on May 9, 2023, and requires administrator or higher privileges to exploit (Patchstack).

The vulnerability stems from improper sanitization and escaping of certain plugin settings, which could allow high-privilege users such as administrators to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup). The vulnerability has been assigned a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.8 (Medium) by NVD with the vector string CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N (WPScan, NVD).

The vulnerability could allow malicious actors with administrative access to inject malicious scripts, including redirects, advertisements, and other HTML payloads into the website, which would be executed when guests visit the site (Patchstack).

The vulnerability has been fixed in version 1.0.8 of the Easy Hide Login plugin. Users are advised to update to version 1.0.8 or later to remove the vulnerability (Patchstack).
